Competitor gap
See every keyword they rank for that you don't.
Point it at a competitor and read the map of what you're missing — which terms they own, which pages win them, and which gaps are worth your time.
What you're missing, in one table.
How to read it
-
1
The empty rows
Where a competitor ranks and you don't, the row is blank on your side. That's the gap, and the opportunity.
-
2
The shared rows
Where you both rank, you're already in the fight. Closing a ninth to a second is a different job than starting from nothing.
-
3
The numbers beside them
Volume and difficulty on every row, so you can tell a gap worth chasing from one that's just noise.
From gap to page
- Pick the competitor
- Read the gaps
- Save the winners to a bucket
You see the estimate before you run, a failed run costs nothing, and anything already cached is free to read.
Common questions
What's the difference between gap and discovery?
Discovery tells you who your competitors are. Gap tells you what they rank for that you don't. Most teams run discovery first, then point the gap tool at what it finds.
Can I compare against more than one competitor?
Yes. Compare your domain against several at once, or one at a time — the same run shows shared terms as well as gaps.
Is a gap a keyword I should definitely write for?
Not automatically. A gap with real volume and a difficulty you can win is a strong candidate. A gap with neither is just noise. The numbers are there so you can tell the difference.
Find the pages you should have written already.
Run one gap. You'll know what to write next by the time the results load.
